Obituary for Wanda Gail Mills

Wanda Gail  Mills
Wanda Gail Mills, 53, Starkville, Mississippi passed away March 10, 2014. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on March 13th at Calvary Baptist Church, Starkville. Pastor Richard “Dickie” Bryan of Fellowship Baptist Church and Bo Mills will be officiating. Visitation will be held March 12th from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. at Welch Funeral Home. Burial will follow the funeral at Center Ridge Methodist Church Cemetery in Louisville, Mississippi. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Welch Funeral Home.
Wanda “Wandy” Mills was born at Upper Heyford, Oxfordshire England on May 8,1960. She graduated from Ocean Springs High School in 1981 and continued her education at Mississippi State University and received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Educational Psychology in 1994. Wanda worked as an Admissions Counselor for Student Support Services at MSU before she retired. Wanda was a joyful and loving woman who brought happiness and laughter to anyone she encountered. She never met a stranger and could make the heart of anyone warm and full. Although she did have physical limitations, it had no effect on her spirit and she lived her life to the fullest. Her infectious spirit spilled over to everyone and anyone that had the pleasure of meeting Wanda. She will be terribly missed and her memory will last forever in the hearts of those she knew and loved.
Wanda is survived by her father, James “Jake” Mills of Starkville, MS; aunts, Virginia (Dewey )Bell of Ethelsville, Al; Elizabeth Shaw and Doris Sowell of Columbus, MS; nieces and nephews and numerous cousins, many friends, and her special K-9 companion Abbey Gail.
Wanda is preceded in death by her mother Betty Jo Richardson Mills and Sister Sandra Jo Mills Sweeney.
