Obituary for James A.(Bubber) Turner

James A.(Bubber)  Turner
James A. (Bubber) Turner, 88, passed away on April 8, 2014 at OCH Regional Medical Center in Starkville, MS. He was retired Chief Deputy Sheriff with the Oktibbeha County Sheriff's Department and a member of Adaton Methodist Church. He was Owner of Texaco Service Station on University Drive, member of VFW and American Legion, driver for Greyhound Buses, and Owner of Turner Bus Company.

He was preceded in death by his parents, R.P. Turner, Sr. and Maude Fulton Turner; daughter, Cynthia Lynn Turner; and brother, R.P. Turner, Jr.

He is survived by his wife, Virginia Turner of Starkville, MS; sons, James Steven Turner (Judy) of Atlanta, GA, Timothy Robert Turner (Pamela) of Nesbit, MS, Daniel Jed Turner (Vickie) of Starkville, MS, David Martin Turner (Lisa) of Evansville, Indiana, and Paul Pearson Turner of Perdido Key, FL; 11 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Memorial donations may be made to Adaton Methodist Church.
