Nita Sue McKinley Buckelew, 72, passed away on April 17, 2014 at Starkville Manor in Starkville, MS. She was retired from 4-County EPA, where she had worked for 29 years. She was a member of Meadowview Baptist Church in Starkville, Rebekah Lodge, and she was secretary/treasurer for 20 years with Professional Arborist Association of Mississippi (PAAM).

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harrelson McKinley and Hattie Lauella Walters; and sister, Anne Loper.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Robert Terrel Buckelew; sons, Thomas Milton Buckelew (Debra) of Raymond, MS, and Robert Bryan Buckelew (Christy) of Maben, MS; grandchildren, Suzanna Johnson and Melanie Grable; four great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation for Mrs. Buckelew is scheduled for Friday, April 18, 2014 from 3:00-5:00 p.m. at Welch Funeral Home in Starkville, MS. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, April 19, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at Meadowview Baptist Church in Starkville. Rev. Jason Middleton will conduct the service. Burial will be in Memorial Garden Park Cemetery in Starkville.
