Obituary for Winifred "Winnie" Allene Forsyth Boykin

Winifred  "Winnie" Allene Forsyth   Boykin
Winifred "Winnie" Allene Forsyth Boykin, 67, passed away at her residence in Maben August 15, 2014. She shaped the lives of many young people while she was a teacher with Oktibbeha County Schools, where she taught for 30 years. She was a member of Adaton First United Methodist Church and the Eastern Star. She was also a very active member of the Teacher's Association. She loved the outdoors, animals, deer hunting and fishing.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lewis Forsyth and Catherine Elizabeth Rone Forsyth; and by her son, Tinker Love.

She is survived by her husband, William Anton "Tony" Boykin, Jr. of Maben, MS; sons, Raymond E. "Bud" Love, Jr. of Starkville, MS, and Michael L. Boykin of Jackson, MS; sister, Virginia Forsyth; and brother, Tom Forsyth, both of Humbolt, TN.

Visitation for Mrs. Boykin is scheduled for Saturday, August 16, 2014 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Welch Funeral Home in Starkville, MS. Funeral services are scheduled for Sunday, August 17, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Adaton United Methodist Church. Rev. Sarah Jo Adams-Wilson and Jerome Goddard will conduct the service. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Bud Rhoades, John McMurray, Jr., Blake Garrard, Joe Morris, Eddie Cantrell, and Donald Lee.

Memorial donations may be made to Adaton United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund.
