Opal Blaylock Turnipseed, 91, passed away on September 28, 2014 at her residence in Starkville. She was a retired office clerk in the Chancery Clerk's office and a member of First Baptist Church in Starkville.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Luther Blaylock and Betty Cox Blaylock; husband, Marvin Doyle Turnipseed; and son, Mike Turnipseed

She is survived by her son Marvin Turnipseed (Jane) of West Point, MS; grandchild, Brock Turnipseed (Erica); and great grandchildren, Dalton and Riley Turnipseed.

Visitation for Mrs. Turnipseed is scheduled forWednesday, October 1, 2014 from 9:00-10:00 a.m. at Welch Funeral Home in Starkville, with a graveside service following at 10:30 a.m. at Memorial Garden Park Cemetery. Rev. Clifton Curtis and Dr. Chip Stevens will conduct the service.
