Lucy Anne Rhoades

Lucy Anne Rhoades, September 2, 1949 - October 10, 2014, daughter of Frances Oakley and the late Stanley A. Rhoades. Survived by brother, Jack (Pam); brother, Andy (Nancy); sister, Mary Frances (Ken Smith); many nieces, nephews and extended family who loved her dearly.

Lucy was a very special person and a very special artist. She was known for her drawings and paintings of Starkville and Mississippi State University. She enjoyed giving her art to others as a way of showing love.

Lucy was a graduate of Starkville High School and Mississippi State University. She loved Starkville and MSU.

The family is grateful for the kindness, love and care given to Lucy by those at Starkville Manor Nursing Home and Pioneer Behavioral Health Service.

A memorial service for Lucy will be held on Monday, October 13 at First Presbyterian Church. Visitation at 1:00, Service at 2:00.

Memorials are requested in lieu of flowers. Lucy was greatly interested in and invested her life in the ministries of:
Habitat for Humanity
First Presbyterian Church
Osborn Presbyterian Church
