Condolences

Condolence From: Sam Miller
Condolence: To the Hall (extended) Family:

I'm very sorry to learn that we have lost Dr. Hall's physical presence. May the many treasured and precious memories keep him with us, spiritually, forever, and may they also help us during the rough times when we miss him most. During my professional life, I have applied a great deal of Dean Hall's philosophy and belief regarding fundamental fairness in working with students and humility in working with colleagues and others. He always had a good joke to share whenever we talked. I'm going to miss my dear friend.

Peace be still...Sam

Condolence: I came to know Dr. Hall in the 1970's as both a student leader and then a student affairs employee at MSU. I consider him a role model and mentor...he probably influenced my life and career as much as anyone other than my own parents. His professionalism, humor, kindness and empathy are attributes I admired and have tried to emulate. MSU is a better place because of his service, and I am privileged to have know him.

Condolence: Dean Hall's passing is so significant a loss for alumni, for MSU, and for the student affairs profession. He was a pillar of professional deportment, an exemplary role model. May the Creator watch over him for eternity. And, I extend my sincerest condolences to the grieving family and friends; but be assured that Harold was warmly regarded by so many...and so, will long be remembered.

Condolence: Harold was a Dean's Dean. He had a wonderful sense of humor, a comforting smile and exhibited a sense of calm to all around him. Harold more than survived some difficult years as an administrator during the turbulent 60s, but he brought his University and its students through it better for the experience. He will be sorely missed.
