Danny Coleman, age 61, passed away at his residence in Starkville on December 13, 2014 after a lengthy battle with cancer. Danny was born and raised in Starkville and was retired from Four County Power Association, was a member of the National Guard, and a board member of the Adaton-Self Creek Volunteer Fire Department.

Danny is survived by his wife, Sheila Long Coleman of 21 years; two sons, Bill Buckner and his wife, Frances of Columbus, and Joshua Buckner of Starkville; one daughter, Jennifer Williamson and her husband, Andy of Columbus; one sister, Barbara Martin of Tuscaloosa; one brother, Sammy Coleman and his wife Beth of Starkville; six grandchildren; two nephews, Justin Coleman of Starkville and Dr. Bobby Martin of Columbus. He was preceded in death by his parents, Estel D. Coleman, Sr. and Leola Hemphill Coleman.

The visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, December 16 at Welch Funeral Home in Starkville from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. The funeral service is scheduled for Wednesday, December 17 at 10 a.m. at the Starkville Church of God. Burial will follow in the Morgan Chapel Cemetery. Services will be conducted by Reverend Bill Murphy and Reverend Hank Anderson.
