Jimmie Jean  Williams
Mrs. Jimmie Jean Williams, 88, passed away, Sunday, January 11, 2015 at OCH Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Williams was predeceased by her husband, Floyd Williams; parents John R. Nolen III and Jimmie C. Nolen.

Mrs. Williams will be lovingly missed by her three children and their families Rebecca and Robert Bock of Starkville (Robert Bock, Jr. and Nikki of Madison [Brittany & Doyle Thrash, & Hunter Bock]), (Dennis and Shelley Bock of Starkville [George and Oscar]), (Stephen and Jessica Bock of Olive Branch [Amber, Bryce, Jewlia, Kaitlyn, Landon, Lauren, Lee, Marissa, and Michael]); Johnny and Debbie Williams of Starkville (Jessica and Casey Reed and Maxey of Brandon) and (Jennifer and Taylor Mills [Morgan and Peyton] of Brandon), (John and Ivana Williams [Brody, Titus, Ryder]) and Charlotte and Larry Register of Broken Arrow, OK [Kindra and Matt Fry of College Station, TX [Riley and Ethan]) and Casey [Jaxon and Gauge].

Mrs. Williams dearly loved the First United Methodist Church, her Wesley Sunday School class at the First United Methodist Church, the Eastern Star Chapters (Past Grand Matron), the Starkville Shrine Club for their wonderful work with the Shriners Hospitals for Children, the MSU Women's Club, and she was an avid MSU (men & women's) /basketball &/ football Bulldog supporter/fan.

During WW II when she graduated high school as Salutatorian, she received a scholarship to Business College but instead she took a Civil Service exam at Camp McCain in Grenada, MS. The day following the exam she was transferred to Greenwood, MS Air Force Base for the duration of the war effort and served as teletype operator and bookkeeper. When Mrs. Williams came to Mississippi State University she was employed by the MSU Controller's Office and she retired from the Mississippi State University, Mitchell Memorial Library Dean's Office.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to charities of choice or Mrs. William favorites of Shriners Hospitals for Children (love to the rescue), Processing Center, P.O. Box 1510, Ranson, WV 25438-4510; First United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 2585, Starkville, MS 39760-2585.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, January 14, 2015, at the First United Methodist Church, Lampkin Street at Meigs Avenue in Starkville.
