Obituary for Earl Wayne Fondren

Earl Wayne  Fondren
Earl Wayne Fondren, 78, passed away on April 2, 2015 at his residence in Starkville, MS. He was a very dedicated employee, and retired after 27 years of service as a plumbing foreman with the physical plant at Mississippi State University and attended Pheba Baptist Church. He was a former member of the Starkville Bass Club and was a lifelong bass fisherman and enjoyed camping. He was a loving husband and father.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Fondren and Sallie Edmonds Fondren.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Virginia Vaughan Fondren of Starkville, MS; daughter, Pamela Young (Clay) of Arlington, TX; sons, Ricky Wayne Fondren (Diane) of Starkville, MS, Michael Earl Fondren (Jennifer) of Amory, MS, and Sidney Clay Fondren (Mollie) of Starkville, MS; seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Graveside Services for Mr. Fondren are scheduled for Saturday, April 4, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery off New Lite Rd. in Starkville, MS. Rev. Terry Rhodes of Pheba Baptist Church and Rev. Frankie Tomlinson will conduct the service.
