Condolence: Billy, I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your mother. She is a part of my first memories of our family's move to Sessums back in 1954. I understand that she loved to sew, and being the mother of five sons did not give her the opportunities she might have enjoyed with daughters. Hearing that the new neighbors (and in Sessums the neighbors are miles apart, of course) had three daughters, she stitched up three of the fullest, flounciest petticoats any girls could have ever dreamed of, and brought them to our door. I was so proud of that petticoat! Even as a child, I always thought that was the sweetest thing a neighbor could do, and we felt so welcomed. What a thoughtful,generous, wonderful, person! Condolence: Although we lost touch over the years, we remember our growing up years that included our Winston neighbors which were dairy farmers as ourselves. We extend our condolences in the loss of your mom. Our mom transitioned to her final home back in February.

Condolence: I am so sorry to hear about Mrs. Mary's passing. She was a wonderful woman, a fabulous nurse and raised a wonderful family, that she and Mr. Ike were rightfully so proud of. May God be with all of you, hold you close and comfort you.

Condolence: We love your family and so glad we have gotten to know ya'll. Mrs. Mary McCabe Winston was a huge part of where you came from so we know that even though we didn't get a chance to know her, she was GOOD! Ya'll will be in my prayers! Love you!!

Condolence: Mary was the first person that I worked with at OCH after becoming an RN many years ago. I remember her caring attitude and energy working at the hospital and also her love for her family. She was always thinking of others and doing for them, a wonderful role model.
