David Howard Adams, 57, passed away on July 23, 2015 at his residence in Sturgis, MS. He was a Millwright for South Eastern Lumber Company. He retired from the U.S. Navy with 18 1/2 years of service. He was a member of Honorary State Guard and the National Rifle Association. He enjoyed hunting and motorcycles.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dan Howard Adams and Annie Lois Phillips Adams; and a sister, Tina Adams Hammett.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Mae Evelyn Adams; daughter, Alana Dawn Adams; sons, Dan Howard Adams, II (April), and Allen David Adams (Keri Sealy-Adams), all of Sturgis, MS; sister, Lisa Ingram of Moundville, Al; six granddaughters, and 3 grandsons.

Visitations for Mr. Adams will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2015 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Welch Funeral Home in Starkville, MS, and on Sunday night, July 26, 2015 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home South in Tuscaloosa, AL. The funeral service will be held Monday, July 27, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home South in Tuscaloosa, AL. Rev. Ed King will conduct the service. Burial will be in Oakhill Cemetery in Moundville, AL.
