Obituary for
James Burton Tollett
James Burton Tollett, 70, passed away on July 30, 2015 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Columbus, MS. He was a retired Draftsman for Gulf States Manufacturing and a member of Adaton Baptist Church. He taught French and Spanish at Itawamba Junior College in Fulton, MS and member of the Christian Motorcycle Association and Jail Ministry. He was the most unselfish person, humble, kind, a gentle giant.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Aaron B. Tollett and Lois Elizabeth McAtee Tollett.
He is survived by his wife, Tammie Tollett of Starkville, MS; daughters, Tonya Perniciaro (Ralph) of Hattiesburg, MS, and Roxanne Elliott (Michael) of Magee, MS; sons, Andy and Shane Trice, both of Starkville, MS; sister, Emma Jean Howell (David) of Aberdeen, MS; brother, John Tollett (Robin) of Santa Fe, New Mexico; granddaughters, Taylor Perniciaro, and Hannah Trice; and grandsons, Caleb James Perniciaro, Curt Johnson, and Ryan Johnson; and nieces and nephews, Denise Miller, Burton Howell, and Josh Tollett.
Visitation for Mr. Tollett is scheduled for Sunday, August 2, 2015 from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at Adaton Baptist Church in Starkville, MS, with the funeral service immediately following. Rev. Hal Selby will conduct the service. Burial will be at Adaton Baptist Church Cemetery.
