Joy Golden Pollard, 83, passed away on August 18, 2015 at her residence in Starkville, MS. She was a homemaker and member of First Baptist Church in Starkville. She volunteered for her church and the Optimist Club.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman E. Pollard; and son, Charlie Pollard.

She is survived by her sons, Bob Pollard (Brenda) of Starkville, MS, and John Pollard of Dallas, TX; daughter, Rita Gallagher of Bartlett, TN; four grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.

Visitation for Mrs. Pollard is scheduled for Thursday, August 20, 2015 from 11:00-1:00 at First Baptist Church in Starkville, MS, with the funeral service immediately following. Dr. Chip Stevens and Rev. Clifton Curtis will conduct the service. Burial will be in Fellowship Baptist Church Cemetery in Mathiston, MS.
