Doris Jane Henderson Lomen, 81, passed away on January 9, 2016 at her residence in Starkville, MS. She owned a daycare and member of Calvary Baptist Church. She served with the Starkville Police Department and Sheriff's Department and served her country in the U.S. Air Force. She loved to cook and sewing was her favorite pastime. She loved her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Lee and Francis Thrasher Henderson sister, Glenda Henderson; and brother, Johnny Carol Henderson.

She is survived by her daughter, Gloria Lomen Larson (Dave)-Watkinsville, GA; sons, Robert Lomen, David Lomen (Loree), Paul Lomen (Janet), and Mark Lomen, all of Starkville, MS; sisters, Faye Kirk and Martha Winston; brothers, Leon Henderson and Steve Henderson; 13 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, January 12, 2016 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Welch Funeral Home in Starkville, MS. Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Welch Funeral Home. Dr. Grant Arinder will conduct the service. Burial will be in Memorial Garden Park Cemetery.
