Larry Nelson Rose, age 64, passed away Sunday March 6, 2016, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Columbus, MS.

Larry is preceded in death by his parents Peary Nelson Rose and Alma Azwell Rose, an infant brother Eddie Nelson Rose, his grandparents Ed and Etter Rose and Albert and Zella Azwell .

He is survived by his wife of forty four years, Peggy Ray Rose, his daughter and son-in-law, Emily and Alan Blaine and one grandchild, Olivia Rose Blaine all of Starkville, MS. His mother-in-law Irene Ray of Sturgis, MS, his sister-in-law Mona Ray Craig and husband Jr. of Starkville, MS, his brother-in -law, Danny G. Ray and wife Jenny of Sturgis, MS, and brother-in-law, Elbert M. Ray, Jr. and wife Lori of Monroe, GA. Several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Larry had worked at Triangle Drywall for the past 25 years as their Retail Sales Manager. He and his family attended Friendship Baptist Church, Sturgis, MS, where he was a member and served as Trustee as well as other areas in the church.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorials to Friendship Baptist Church Children’s Fund, Sturgis, MS and the Mississippi Kidney Foundation in Larry’s honor.

Services will be held Wednesday, March 9, 2016, at 3:00 pm at Friendship Baptist Church (5491 Craig Spring Road), Sturgis, MS. A visitation will be held prior to the service from 1:00-3:00pm at the church. Burial will follow in the Craig Springs Community Cemetery. Pastors Junior Davis, Dan Robertson, Jeff Morgan, and Tim Buchanan will perform the afternoon services and burial.
