The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Coy Lewis can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Obituary for Coy Howard Lewis

Coy Howard  Lewis
Coy Howard Lewis, 85, passed away on June 20, 2016 at the State Veterans Home in Kosciusko, MS. He was a retired machinist with Crane-Ferguson in Greenwood, MS. He served three years in the U.S. Army and four years in the U.S. Navy. He was an accomplished musician and guitar picker and was lead guitarist for Southern Accent Band.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gilbert B. Lewis and Levie Lillian Kellum Lewis; wife, Mildred Lewis; and several brothers and sisters.

He is survived by his step-daughter, Jean Watkins; two grandsons, Daniel McDaniel and Thomas McDaniel; two great grandchildren; and friend and caretaker, Bobby Toler.

Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, June 23rd from 1:00- 2:00 p.m. at Double Springs Methodist Church, with the service immediately following. Burial will be in Clear Springs Cemetery.
