Obituary for Arvie Lee Oswalt

Arvie Lee Oswalt, 80, passed away on August 11, 2016 at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, MS. He was a retired Survey Chief for the Mississippi Highway Department, and a member of Adaton Baptist Church. He loved animals, fishing, farming, and milking cows.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arvie Thomas Oswalt and Maudie Swindoll Oswalt; wife, Patricia Ann Oswalt; and brothers, Thomas Glen Oswalt and Johnny Clyde Oswalt.

He is survived by his daughter, Patricia Dianne Gonzalez of Starkville, MS; sons, Arvie Lee Oswalt, Jr. (Robin) of Hattiesburg, MS, and Darrell Glenn Oswalt (Patricia) of Longview, MS; sister, Paulette Crockett of Benton, AR; 9 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled for Saturday, August 13, 2016 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Welch Funeral Home in Starkville, MS. Funeral services are scheduled for Sunday, August 14, 2016 at 4:30 p.m. at Welch Funeral Home. Rev. Hal Selby will conduct the service. Burial will be in Adaton Baptist Church cemetery.
