Condolence: You are in our prayers. "The righteous perish, and no one ponders it in his heart; devout men are taken away, and no one understands that the righteous are taken away to be spared from evil. Those who walk uprightly enter into peace; they find rest as they lie in death. Isaiah 57: 1 & 2

Condolence: Wes was a great guy and will be greatly missed. In a previous job position, Wes and I had to communicate regularly. He was always so helpful. He quickly and timely responded to any information I needed from his office. He was kind and friendly, and made time to stop by my office when nearby. He made me feel appreciated. MSU lost a great employee who also became a friend. My heart goes out to his family during this very difficult time; may God bless and comfort each of you.

Condolence: Wes was my boss for several years, a friend forever! He was a no-frills kind of guy. We could always count on Wes to speak the truth and he did so kindly. A very humble guy, he equipped his employees and students with encouragement and the "correct" information--so vital in such a busy department. His shoes will be very hard to fill! Rest in peace my friend!

Condolence: Our family will always be grateful for the special role Wes played in the life of our son, Stephen. Having been diagnosed with MD at an early age and relegated to the use of a wheelchair, Stephen nonetheless wanted to attend MSU. Imagine our surprise and relief when we discovered that Wes Ammon, who we knew from having grown up together in Vicksburg, was Stephen's academic advisor! Furthermore, Wes explained that his next door neighbor and best friend growing up had MD --- just like Stephen. Wes understood and empathized with Stephen from first hand experience. God had paved the way for our son through the life experiences of Wes 30+ years earlier! Amazing! And when Stephen died six years ago, Wes was one of the first to greet us at the funeral home. Thank you, God, for Wes Ammon!

Condolence: Wes took classes from me when he was an undergraduate and he was one of the best students I ever worked with. Later he taught my son and was one of the best teachers MSU had. In between he coached my son's baseball team. He was a good person, a good friend, and one of those people who makes MSU special. even though I haven't seen him but once since I left, he will always be a valued friend. He made our lives better. He will be sorely missed.

We would learn government, but we talked about State and the Dawgs as well! Truly made learning government fun but laid back and cared about your work as well as a student. Condolence: Wesley's caring spirit was developed in his early childhood...the Ammons were our next door neighbors growing up in Vicksburg. Wesley was best friend to my youngest brother Harry. From the age of 4 when we learned Harry had MD, Wes was Harry's little helper and caretaker. Wesley and Harry were inseparable through grade school, middle school and high school. He was always there for Harry until we lost him. Thanks Wesley for all you meant to Harry... we take joy in knowing you and Harry are now reunited... God bless you for all you have done for others. Our prayers for you, your family, for Ted, Cherie and Susan. Danny Hossley
