Obituary for Rev. Hank Edward Anderson

Reverend Hank Edward Anderson, 62 years old, entered his eternal home with his Savior on Thursday, September 22, 2016. He was a loving, devoted husband, daddy, and papaw. Rev. Anderson’s ministerial service spanned 43 years. During his time serving in ministry, he filled roles as a youth pastor, evangelist, Pastor, and served on multiple state boards for the Church of God. Rev. Anderson is respected among his peers as a true warrior for Jesus Christ. His passion was mentoring young ministers and leading people to salvation.

He was preceded in death by his parents Melvin and Parniece Anderson.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Bailey Anderson; son Christopher Anderson (grandchildren Weston and Mckenna) of Anderson, SC; daughter Chanean Anderson Lee (grandchildren Allonna, Seth, and Katelyn) of Anderson, SC; son Clint Anderson (wife Melaine, grandchildren Hunter, Bailey, and Grey) of Mathiston, MS; daughter Chelsi Anderson Brasher (husband Brett, grandchildren Becky Kate, Anderson, and Ansley) of Sturgis, MS; brother Mike Anderson (Lisa) of Cabot, AR; brother Phil Anderson (Magen) of Tyler, TX; brother Steve Anderson (Jean) of Starr, SC; Douglas Anderson (Gina) of Tyler, TX; Ken Anderson (Karen) of Bristol, TN; Pamela Anderson of Honea Path, SC; Tricia Thomas (Dan) of Nashville, TN; Paula McVicker (Mitch) of Atlanta, GA; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, and nieces.

Funeral services are arranged by Welch Funeral Home of Starkville, MS. Visitation will be on Sunday, September 25 at Starkville Church of God from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. Funeral service will be on Monday, September 26 at Starkville Church of God at 11 a.m. Officiating minister will be Rev. Don Hooper.
