Linda Marie  Pote (Wayland)
Linda Marie Wayland Pote, 63, passed away on Sept. 26, at her residence in Starkville. She was a retired professor in Veterinary Medicine at Mississippi State University and a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Julian Earl Wayland, Jr. and Betty Jean Tong Wayland; and two daughters, Lydia and Hannah Pote.

She is survived by her husband, Jonathan W. Pote of Starkville; daughter Jennifer Ann Farnham and husband, John Rhodes Farnham of Birmingham, Alabama; son, Samuel W. Pote and wife Emily Pote of Jackson; sisters, Mary Gordon and Rebecca Jewel, both of Lovettsville, Virginia; brothers, Julian Wayland, and David Wayland, both of Lovettsville, Virginia; and two grandchildren.

Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, Sept. 30 at 2 p.m. at Trinity Presbyterian Church in Starkville with a visitation following the service.
