Condolence: To the Welch Family I am sorry for your loss. It is difficult when someone we love passes away.  We still have our special memories to help us cope. I  hope that  2 Corinthians 1:3,4 where it says that God is always there to comfort us comforts you. I pray this helps you and your family find peace.

Condolence: I was very saddened to hear about Roger's passing. One of the highlights of the SC conference for me every year has been stopping by the MSU booth during the opening reception or finding Roger at the gala reception, drinking a beer, and catching up on things at State, HPC^2, and Starkville. The conversation always included a spirited discussion about bulldog sports. The only cowbell I have is the HPC^2 one that Roger gave me at SC several years ago. My youngest daughter loves to pull it out when we're watching games on tv, to cheer on the bulldogs (and to drive my wife crazy). I will miss seeing Roger, reminiscing about days past at the ERC, and remember him fondly for his passion about bulldog sports. And I will certainly think of him whenever I hear MSU cowbells ringing. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family, friends, and colleagues.

Condolence: I was blessed to have him as one of my HPC mentors at Mississippi State University. He will surely be missed and I am sorry for your loss. I am deeply saddened by the news of your loss. I pray that God will grant you the strength. My most sincere condolences.

Condolence: Roger was much too young to leave us. I am a distant cousin with whom he shared research of the Smith family. He was so precise in his recording. I met him only once at a reunion in Clarksville, but he was a great researcher and recorder. My sympathy to the family -- to all of us for the loss of Roger.

Condolence: I met Roger through the HPC community - the CUG and SC conferences. I was saddened to hear of his diagnosis, and the family has suffered a tremendous loss. Roger was always there with words of encouragement, or advice if needed. His loss will be felt by all who know him. My heart goes out to everyone who mourns his loss.

Condolence: I am very sorry for the loss of your dear Rodger. The pain is intense when we lose someone special. God's promises give us hope. God promises, a future with no more pain, suffering, sickness, nor death (Revelation 21:3,4). He also will reunite families with those they have lost (Acts 24:15). Again, I am very sorry for your loss.

Condolence: It’s sad to lose a colleague, and it’s just so unfortunate when the community loses a person who was a contributor in a number of ways. Roger was a great help to me in the HPCC, and I had great respect for him. I will always remember him showing folks around the HPC facilities, and I’ll remember him with his camera at the Refuge.
