Obituary for Helen J. Thompson

Helen J. Thompson

Helen J. Thompson, 69, passed away on November 6, 2016 at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, MS. She was retired Chief Exray Technician with OCH Regional Medical Center and member of Center Grove Baptist Church. She was an avid deer hunter and bass fisherman.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Milton Garrison and Sally Rakestraw Garrison.

She is survived by her husband, James LeVaughn Thompson of Starkville, MS; daughter, Leslie Thompson Norwood and husband Ken of Maben, MS; sister, Millie Therrell of Starkville, MS; and grandchildren, Kayla McIlwain, Taylor Norwood, and Carson Norwood.

Visitation is scheduled for this evening, November 8, 2016 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Welch Funeral Home in Starkville, MS, and also Wednesday, November 9, 2016 from 2:00-3:00 p.m. at Center Grove Baptist Church, with the funeral service immediately following. Burial will be in Center Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Joel Hudson and Bro. Thad Moore will conduct the service.
