Obituary for Michael Wayne "Wayne" Smith
Wayne Smith, 59, passed away on November 13, 2016 at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, MS. He was a carpenter and a Baptist.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin E. Smith and Pearlie Ballard Smith; and brothers, Bennie Smith, and Donald Smith.
He is survived by his sons, Jeremy Smith of Eupora, MS and Matthew Smith of Craig Springs; sisters, Debbie Buford , Kathe Hosford, Jammie Reed, all of Starkville, MS, and Melissa Smith of Ackerman, MS; brothers, Dennis Smith of Starkville, MS, and Tim Smith of Louisville, MS; and grandchildren, Colby, Abigail, and Emily.
Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, November 17, 2016 from 11:00-1:00 at Welch Funeral Home in Starkville, MS, with the funeral service immediately following in the funeral home chapel. Rev. Michael Sanders will conduct the service. Burial will be in Betheden Cemetery in Winston County.
