Jean Smith Miller, 87, passed away on December 3, 2016 at OCH Regional Medical Center in Starkville. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Starkville, where she sang in the choir, was a large part of a group of prayer warriors and prayed for the pastor. She was an LPN and an x-ray and lab technician with Laird Clinic for 39 years and it was her purpose there to minister to people.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George Dewey Smith and Arbelle Cummings Smith; husband, Warren B. Miller; son, George Miller; and sisters, Dean Taylor and Jo Andrews.

She is survived by her daughter, Norma Kimbrough (Alex); daughter-in-law, Michele Miller; grandchildren, Rebecca Kimbrough, Amanda Adams, Rachel Walton (Wade), Adam Heim; and great grandchildren, Lana Adams, Jayden Kimbrough, Camrie Walton, Georgia Walton, and Caleb Walton; and brothers, Dewey Smith (Ann) and David Smith (Carolyn).

Visitation is scheduled for Monday, December 5, 2016 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Welch Funeral Home in Starkville, MS. Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Calvary Baptist Church in Starkville. Dr. Grant Arinder and Rev. Wade Walton will conduct the service. Burial will be in Memorial Garden Park Cemetery.
