Obituary for Shirley Westbrook (Curtis)

Shirley Curtis Westbrook, 79, passed away on December 29, 2016 at her residence in Starkville, MS. She was retired manager of Vincent's Shoe Store and a member of Starkville Church of Christ. She loved to travel, was an avid gardener, and a former board member of Starkville Parks and Recreation. She was also very active in Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard Curtis and Ruth Bobo Curtis; her husband, Charlie Westbrook; and her brother, Kenneth Curtis.

She is survived by her daughter, Renee Westbrook Hanlon and husband Charles of Chicago, Ill.; sons, Keith Westbrook and wife Renee of Starkville, MS, and Steve Westbrook and wife Shelley of Columbus, MS; sister, Judi Curtis Betts of Caledonia, MS; grandchildren, Wesley Westbrook, Whitney Westbrook, Charles Hanlon, Chele Westbrook, Cole Hanlon, and Katie Rose Westbrook.; and great grandson, Bobby Austin Westbrook.

Visitation is scheduled for Saturday, December 31, 2016 from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at Adaton Baptist Church, with the funeral service immediately following. Rev. Hal Selby will conduct the service. Burial will be in Adaton Baptist Church Cemetery.
