Condolence From: Rick Young, President Emeritus East Ms Comm College
Condolence: The East Mississippi Community College family is deeply sadden by the passing of Mr. Larry Bell. Larry served on the Board of EMCC in an exemplary manner for over twentysix years. During this time, he helped guide the College from the brink of closure to now being known and respected internationally for excellence in sports and academics. Larry served EMCC as he lived his life, with great vigor, humility, honesty and conviction for what he believed to be right. As a member of the EMCC Board of Trustees, Larry enabled many people to realize the opportunities gained from the Community College experience. His dedication to his precious family and unselfish service to so many people throughout his life leaves a legacy that we all can admire, but few will ever replicate. Thank you Larry Bell for what you have done to make our world a better place and most of all, for being my friend.

Condolence From: Larry Jones
Condolence: My sincere prayers are extended to the family of my very good friend, Larry. Mary and Bo and family, I will be thinking of you often. I officiated many football games with Larry. Also, many plain ole scrimmages. Those times created many stories. Just a memory, This was in Larry's capacity as HS assigning secretary. My crew was in Louisville one evening. The coach became angry over a 'call' someone on my crew made. The coach told me it "would be the last time I was ever be in Louisville, MS!" The next year when Larry distributed our assigned games I saw my crew was assigned to the Louisville at Columbus game. I reminded Larry of the coach's comments from the year before. Larry replied, "He said he didn't want you at home. He didn't say anything about 'on the road' " Typical Larry comment. He will certainly be missed. I'm glad he and the family were my friends.
