Kathleen Nason Blanton, 93, passed away at her home on Saturday, July 22, 2017. She was born in Choctaw County on February 26, 1924 to B B Nason and Tessie Arnold Nason. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Tyler Blanton.

She is survived by her children, Janice Blanton Brown, Shirley Blanton Osburn, Tony Blanton, all of Starkville, MS, and Glen Blanton (Mary Ellen) of Paris, TN; sister, Janie Burks of Columbus, MS; brother, R O Nason (Hilda Dill) of Hendersonville, TN; 10 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.

Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, July 26, 2017 from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at Welch Funeral Home, with the funeral service immediately following. Chaplain Melvin Mordecai will conduct the service. Burial will be in Wake Forest Cemetery in Sturgis, MS.
