Obituary for Ruth Yeatman Bell

Ruth Yeatman Bell passed away at the Carrington Nursing Center on January 10, 2018 after a lengthy illness. She was born in Maben, MS on February 28, 1934. Ruth was known to her family and friends as an excellent cook and devoted homemaker. She also was a longtime employee of Wal-Mart in Starkville. She retired in 1990. During her retirement, she loved working in her flower garden and traveling.

Ruth was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, John A. Bell; her parents, General Lee and Edna Mae Yeatman; husband, and brothers, Gerald Yeatman and Glenn Yeatman, all of Maben.

Survivors include her son, Reggie (Cookie) Bellof Brandon, MS; grandchildren, Jacque (Keith) Kinard of Maben, MS, and Glen Ledbetter of Columbus, MS; four great grandchildren; her brother, Herbert Lee (Beverly) Yeatman of Orlando, FL; and her sister, Frances Aldridge of Maben, MS.

Visitation is scheduled for Saturday, January 13, 2018 from 9:00-11:00 a.m. at Welch Funeral Home in Starkville, with funeral services to follow at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be at Clear Springs Primitive Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Keith Kinard, Glen Ledbetter, David Kinard, Randall Yeatman, Wayne Yeatman, and Bo Yeatman.
