Faye Fulp Caldwell died March 25, 2018 at the age of 88. She was born in Leakesville, North Carolina to Goldie Mabes Fulp and George D. Fulp. She was preceded in death by one sister, Betty Mae Fulp Tucker.

Faye was married to Daniel Caldwell for 59 years. She is survived by one daughter, Luanne Caldwell Blankenship, son in law and pastor, Rev. Buren Blankenship. Also survived by four nieces, 2 nephews and their families.

Faye moved to Starkville 8 years ago from Hartwell, Georgia after the death of her husband. She quickly made her home here and made countless treasured friends through her church and community organizations. She was a longtime member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, joining the local Hic-A-Sha-Ba-Ha chapter. A longtime member of the United Daughters of the Confederacy, joining the Putnam Darden local chapter. Faye was active in the Newcomer’s group, the Green Thumb Garden Club, Divas, bridge groups and the Long’s Lake Association.

She was actively engaged in service opportunities at her church, Trinity Presbyterian. Faye especially enjoyed preparing food and serving at the community Casserole Kitchen. Her generosity supported Living Waters for the World, Presbyterian Disaster Assistance, Helping Hands Adopt A Family and Trinity’s ongoing project of sending underserved youth to Camp Hopewell each summer.

Faye enjoyed gardening, bird watching, living by the lake, antiquing, bridge and her beloved pets. She was a life long volunteer serving the communities she lived in.

A memorial service will be held Friday, April 6th at 2:00pm in the Trinity Presbyterian Church sanctuary. Rev. Dr. Tom Cheatham will lead the service. A reception will be held in the fellowship hall immediately following the service. To honor Faye’s wishes, in lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to the Trinity Presbyterian Church Renovation Fund, 607 Hospital Road, Starkville, MS 39759.

Interment will be held at a later date in Eden, North Carolina.
