Condolences

Condolence From: Erle Chenney
Condolence: Linda was the first boss I had at CVM. I had plans to go to nursing school and I told her I would only be there for about one year. That was 26 years ago! She is the reason I have a Masters degree also. She was a whirlwind, mad one minute and taking you to lunch the next. Taught me to run a lab correctly. Will surely be missed. Rest well Linda.

Condolence From: Hope Paradise
Condolence: My Deepest Sympathy. I know you are hurting right now, and that is very understandable. I am really sorry you are going through that. What really helped me was drawing close to God, really leaning on him. I read Isaiah 41:10 which says: "Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be anxious, for I am your God. I will fortify you, yes, I will help you, I will really hold on to you with my right hand of righteousness." Those words comforted me, I was afraid, and I was feeling anxious, among other things. It was comforting to know that God is there for me, that God really cares for me, that God is waiting for me, listening to me, ready to help me, "holding my right hand." I hope these words help you as they did me. I sincrely hope you find these words comforting, and they give you the strength and courage to make it through this difficult time.

Condolence: I am very sorry for your loss. My heart goes out to you in this difficult time. One encouraging thought you might find comforting is found at John 5:28, 29. β€œThe hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out.” God gives us this beautiful hope that he will soon resurrect our dead loved ones and we can see them again on a paradise earth.

Condolence: My sincere condolences for the loss of Linda. I just loved her intellect, her commitment to Veterinary Medicine, and so appreciated her friendship. Linda was such a wonderful colleague, and she had that rare combination of wisdom and compassion. My sincere hope is that Jonathan and the children will find comfort in knowing how much she was loved and appreciated, and that their hearts will soon be warmed by wonderful memories of time spent with Linda on this earth.

Condolence From: Phil Stayer
Condolence: Jonathan and family, My sincere sadness is with you on the passing of "Ma Pote" as her graduate students came to call her. I appreciated her intense concern for me while I was a student and even more as I became a parent and later a mentor to other students myself. Linda's sense of purpose and diligence are carried by me and her other former students. Please know Linda lives on through me and others that she mothered through our training. My condolences, Phil Stayer
