Condolence From: Sharon
Condolence: Your family has my deepest sympathy. I am so very sorry to learn of the loss of Dr. Ball, someone so beloved. I was thinking of something to say to ease the tremendous pain that your family is suffering. So I compiled this list of scriptures that is sure to bring you comfort in this difficult time: Psalms 55:22; Proverbs 3: 5 & 6; Isaiah 41:10; 2 Corinthians 1:3-7; James 4:8; and Revelation 21:4. Be strong. Cherish the memories. May the peace of God be with your family always. And, please, remember to call upon his name found at Psalms 83:18.

Condolence: Dr. Ball was kind to offbeat visitors. On three occasions in the early 80's I "dropped in" on him, as a man from off the street, and "blessed" him with a few minutes of my latest ideas regarding electrical theory. Not once did he look at his watch to see if my time was up. Thank you Sir!

Condolence From: Larry Hill
Condolence: My thoughts have sadly come as I learned of the passing of a truly both gentle, kind and great man. Billie Joe was my teacher and professional colleague. Although I have not seen or talked with him in a few years, I can never forget him as one of the men I have most admired both personally and professionally. Mississippi State was fortunate to have had him as a leader. He was my first electrical engineering course instructor later my major professor as a graduate student and finally my fellow faculty member. To Jean, John, Barbara Jean and all the family, please accept my condolences. May Billie Joe have eternal peace and dwell in the heaven which he has so richly earned.

Condolence: Such sad news. Uncle Bill was one of a kind. Such a wonderful man. I have so many happy memories of being in his presence.
