Barbara Fulgham Brent, 73, passed away on April 20, 2021 at Bedford Care Center in Newton, MS. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and a 1965 graduate of Starkville High School.

She was preceded in death by two husbands, George Howard Ward and Henry Brent; parents, Grady Zeno Fulgham and Lorene Kerr Fulgham Ruffin.

She is survived by her daughters, Nancy Skelton (Tommy) of Houston, MS and Gail Jackson (Glen) of Starkville, MS; son, Grady Turman, Sr. (Missa) of Clinton, MS; grandchildren, Beth Junkins (Josh), Mary Kathryn Murphy (Michael), Melissa Johnson (Justin), Layne Fumo (Eduardo), Peyton Jackson, Will Jackson, Grady Turman, Jr. (Abbey),and Darby Dunn (Tripp); nine great grandchildren; sister, Dell Wear of Huntsville, AL; and brother, Jim Bracken of Loganville, GA.

Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, April 22, 2021 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at Welch Funeral Home in Starkville, MS, with the funeral service immediately following in the funeral home chapel. Dr. Grant Arinder will conduct the service. Burial will be in Center Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Maben, MS.
