The Long family lived across the street from my family in Macon. I was older than Brenda and she was always "the little girl across the street". There were several of us who enjoyed playing baseball on the lawn of the Noxubee hospital. Brenda could hold her own. Brenda always was friendly and had a big smile. I spent a lot of time with her family and was even included in Brenda's wedding. I moved to Oregon 50 years ago and , when possible during visits to Macon,, I would make contact with Brenda. I think my last contact was at least seven years ago. I recall her telling me she had been asked by her church to take over a significant role with music and she was aprehensive about doing so. I bet she did a great job. Rest in Peace My Friend. Jim
