Obituary for Donald Calvin Posey
Donald Calvin Posey passed away on January 9, 2019 at University Medical Center in Jackson,
He retired as Oktibbeha County Administrator. He participated in one of the greatest Mississippi State Basketball events known as "The Game of Change". He was a track star at both Indianola High School and Mississippi State University. He loved scuba diving, hunting, fishing, motorcycles and repairing old vehicles.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Addie Carpenter Posey.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Mary Lou Posey.
Visitation is scheduled for Monday, January 14, 2019 from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Starkville, MS, with the funeral service immediately following. Rev. Chip Stevens will conduct the service. Interment will follow at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: Oktibbeha County Humane Society, 510 Industrial Park Road, Starkville, MS 39759.
