Condolence From: Jo Ann Henderson
Condolence: I am so sorry to read about the passing of Dr. Bill Foster. When Sammy and I first married, we lived in Starkville for 11 years. We both worked at Starkville Public Schools where Sara was the Superintendent’s secretary. We became close friends with Bill and Sara. They were mentors to us. They were so kind and loving. We kept in touch with them for many years. Continued prayers for sweet Sara. Kathy—you had 2 parents who loved you so much. Praying for you in the days ahead.

Condolence: Even though only a few years old than I, Dr. Bill was a longtime inspiration, at Starkville High, State and later as a friend. I regret not having seen or talked with him for several years, but I honor his passing, and envy his being with our Lord. Newt Hamlin

Condolence: As our new young chemistry teacher at Starkville HS, enduring endless torment by class clowns like me, Bill may have somehow inspired me to pursue chemical engineering, which I did for two years at MSU before switching to math and liberal arts, but perhaps it was his good character that mysteriously added to the many influences thst shaped my own. With many fond memories, I salute his exemplary life. Rest in peace, Bill.

Condolence: Bill & Sarah were so sweet and precious. I remember Sarah calling me when I found out I had breast cancer and telling me that she had had breast cancer also. I took them a vase of my Zinnias from my flower garden several years ago and I had the best visit with them. They both were so sweet and he will be missed. I love you sweet Sara.

Condolence: Words cannot express the sorrow I feel at the passing of Dr. Foster. Bill was such a decent and upstanding man and someone that I considered a good friend. I remember fondly stopping by Bill and Sara's home when I would be in Starkville and getting to visit with them and catch up on everything that was taking place in our lives. I am also blessed to have some wonderful memories of our times spent together at Miss Mississippi each year and those days of staying at the old Hampton Inn there in Vicksburg or visiting at Kathy's home in Vicksburg as well. Seeing Bill and Sara or getting to talk with them over the phone was always such a special treat, and they reminded me so much of my own parents who had passed many years ago. Both Bill and Sara dearly loved Kathy who is such a wonderful person and one of my dearest friends and much like a sister. My heart goes out to Kathy, Sara, Earl, and the cousins, Joe and Jerry, during this difficult time. May the Lord be a constant source of strength and also bless the family with peace and comfort as we all grieve the loss of such a great man as Dr. Bill Foster.
