On Friday, July 30, 2022 Dr. Danny Chris Harvey, a devoted husband and a loving father of seven children, twenty grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren, passed into Glory at the age of seventy-four. Danny was born in Miami, FL, on August 29, 1947. He joined the Army in 1964, where he served in the Vietnam War. He was wounded serving his country and earned a Purple Heart. Danny earned a THG from Tennessee Temple University in 1979. He earned his B.A., M.A., and D.D. from San Diego Baptist Bible School, and Seminary. He earned a Dr. of Min. at Landmark Baptist College.

Danny was married to Dr. Barbara Harvey for fifty years. He enjoyed pastoring four churches in Tennessee, California, and Alabama. He was a proud member of the US Army where he earned not only a Purple Heart, but also was awarded a Combat Infantry Badge the Vietnam Service Medal, The National Defense Medal, The Good Conduct Medal, and an Honorable Discharge. His greatest joy was to preach the Gospel and see people come to Christ.

Danny is preceded in death by His wife, Dr. Barbara Harvey; parents, Orbie Robert Harvey and Catherine Louise Feliciano; Neil Harvey (brother) Mary Harvey (Sister) Darryl Harvey (Son) and Granddaughter, Ashely Gaede.

He is survived by his Sisters, Linda Harvey Clara Jean Harvey; Children, Cynthia Vasquez, Ronn and Sarah Rothfeldt, John and Raeann Harvey, Paul and Joanna Harvey, Melanie and Sean Lala, Matthew and Nishoni Harvey; Nineteen Grandchildren and two Great-Grandchildren.

He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved Him.

Memorial services will be held at Welch Funeral Home, 201 W. Lampkin St. Starkville, MS 39759 on Friday, August 5, 2022 at 11:00 am. Viewing begins at 10:00 am. Internment will be at North Mississippi Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery at 2:00pm.
