The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Dr. Roy Glynn Creech can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

The lighting of a Memorial Candle not only provides a gesture of sympathy and support to the immediate family during their time of need but also provides the gift of extending the Book of Memories for future generations.

Roger Hodges

Dad and Roy studied together at Purdue. That relationship with Roy took my family from Purdue to Penn State for a year in 1964. And then, from Purdue to Mississippi State in 1975. Roy’s passing marks the end of an era in Starkville and at Mississippi State. He was responsible for bringing a large group of Christians and fellow scientists together in Starkville. The original group is now down to barely a handful. Connections, bonds, and friendships between the children of that original group remain although they wear over time and distance. We remember Roy with gratitude for the things that he has done that cannot be listed in an obituary. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family, and we are comforted to know that he is in a better place. Roger Hodges
