Edna M. (Pete)  Hartin
Edna M. (Pete) Hartin, 96, passed away on December 22, 2021 at her residence in Starkville, MS. She was a retired receptionist with Starkville Electric Department and a member of Meadowview Baptist Church in Starkville. She loved shopping and was very much a people person who loved to talk. She loved her church, her church family but most of all she dearly loved her son, grandchildren; great grandchildren; and her nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred D. Morgan and Bessie Fairchild Morgan; her sister, Elinor Busbin; and her brother, Hulon Morgan.

She is survived by her son, George Hartin, Jr. (Janet) of Starkville, MS; her grandchildren, Nikki Hartin Dear (Jimbo) and Renee Hartin Gardner; and her great grandchildren, Nicholas Gardner, Stella Malek, Karley Dear, Jake Dear, Megan Dear, and Ella James Dear; nieces, Janice Sanford, Lynn Payne; and her nephews, Jackie Busbin, Don Morgan and Darrell Morgan.

Visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, December 28, 2021 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at Welch Funeral Home in Starkville, MS, with the funeral service immediately following in the funeral home chapel Rev. Jason Middleton will conduct the service. Burial will be in Memorial Garden Park Cemetery in Starkville.

Memorial donations may be made to Meadowview Baptist Church Building Fund, 300 Linden Circle, Starkville, MS 39759.
