Condolence From: Julie Benson
Condolence: Dear Harold, Chris, Margaret, John, and Charlie, I wanted to let you know I am thinking of you all and wishing I was there to express my condolences in person. I so admired my Aunt Frances for her talent as a painter and the appreciation for beauty that she brought to everything she did. I will always remember the spectacular meals she prepared for us and her warm welcome of my family when we visited. Frances went out of her way to make that Easter visit special. Sam and Charlie still talk about the cake that looked like a lamb and the trip we all took to a swamp. She had a lovely smile and way of paying attention that made me feel noticed as a
child... l will always remember that and I’ll miss her. Lots of love to all of you. Julie

Condolence From: Shawn Morgan (formerly Balentine)
Condolence: Harold, I am so sorry to hear of the death of your wife. Thank you for the contribution that you and your wife have made to the arts community in Starkville. During the time I lived and taught music in and around Starkville (1986-1995), I observed the lives that you touched through teaching piano. I am still thankful for your kind words of encouragement after you attended a Mississippi Opera performance of "Rigoletto." I'm still singing with the Opera and halfway through my 22nd year of teaching vocal music at Power APAC in Jackson. May God give you peace as you transition through this sorrowful time.
