Obituary for Joe Arney
Joe Arney, 85, passed away on May 13, 2020 at Starkville Manor Nursing Home in Starkville, MS. He was retired from Howard's Flexsteel Manufacturing and a U.S. Army veteran. He loved fishing, hunting and gardening.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Arney and Viola Scarbrough Arney; and brothers, Marvin and Claude Arney.
He is survived by his wife, Sarah Jaynes Arney of Starkville, MS; son, Robert Henry Arney and wife, Donnell of Starkville, MS; sisters, Shirley Hunt of Starkville, MS, Mavis Allen of West Point, MS, Illa Faye Pearson of Sturgis, MS, and Mary Catherine Fortenberry of Philadelphia, MS; brothers, O. F. "Pete" Arney of Jackson, MS and Charles Arney of Sturgis, MS; two grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
There will be a graveside service at Craig Springs Cemetery in Sturgis on Friday May 15, 2020 at 3:00 p.m.
Rev. Ron Links will conduct the service.
