Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of John W. Obituary for John W. "Jay" Marsh

John W. Marsh aka "Jay", 83, passed away on July 29, 2022 at OCH Regional Medical Center in Starkville, MS. John retired as a butcher for Big Star and was in the Army National Guard.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Wesley and Hester Davis Marsh; daughter, Alana Marsh Aucoin; brothers, Pete Marsh, Ted Marsh, Ralph Marsh, Bill Marsh, and Gerrell Marsh.

He is survived by his granddaughter, Megan Aucoin; brother, Gene Marsh; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation is scheduled for Friday, August 5, 2022 from 2:00-3:00 p.m. at Welch Funeral Home in Starkville, MS, with the memorial service immediately following in the funeral home chapel.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Oktibbeha County Humane Society, P. O. Box 297, Starkville, MS 39760.
