Condolence: Our prayers are with the all on Moderia's passing. I remember fondly our family and community connections several decades ago before I moved away. Sometimes the older days seem to be the best.

Condolence: Moderia was a very special woman in my life; she is in my list of mentors. I worked with her at the Boll Weevil Lab during the time I was getting married until my second child was born. She was a wealth of advise for a young wife and mother! I still use some of her recipes and think of her when I cook them. I admired her so much. I’m so sorry for your loss

Condolence: Sending my heartfelt condolences to all the Moderia Petty Family at this time of loss. For many years, we enjoyed living in the same wonderful neighborhood, swapping recipes, and keeping an eye out for each other. Then, there was our mutual admiration of that large, beautiful ceramic turkey both of us had admired--so much so, that we agreed to swap it on alternate Thanksgivings. I will surely miss her...please know that we love all of you and are keeping you close to our hearts, in our thoughts and in our prayers.

Condolence: My deepest sympathies and prayers to the Petty family. Ms Moderia was a friend of my mother’s, Carolyn Katz. Teresa and I went to school together. A genuinely lovely person, and a gracious lady. May her memory be a blessing.

Condolence: Moderia touched the lives of so many people. She was open, approachable, and accepting. Mutual friendship came easily and quickly. She was genuinely interested in her friends and would find the time to help whether that help was teaching others to play bridge or simply listening to her friends when a neutral ear was needed. If asked, she would offer advice. I will miss her friendship but celetrate her life.
