The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Rev. James W. Landrum can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

The lighting of a Memorial Candle not only provides a gesture of sympathy and support to the immediate family during their time of need but also provides the gift of extending the Book of Memories for future generations.

Jim Landrum single-handedly made enough "Silver Dollar Pancakes" one Saturday morning in 1968 to provide fodder for a pancake eating contest for some five and six year old kids in the neighborhood... I don't remember who won the contest, but I still remember him standing in the kitchen flipping pancakes and daring us to eat more. I was one of those kids. I have admired "Mr Landrum" all my life: not only for his pancake cooking prowess, but also for his keen sense of humor, his huge laugh, his quest for social justice, and his endless love for his family. I send my heartfelt condolences to his family and to his many friends. I have not seen Jim for a long time, but I have never forgotten him. He was one of the best people I ever had the pleasure and honor of knowing. Love always. Missy Ellison
