The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Richie Sanchez can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolence: I have so many great memories being at the Sanchez home when we were kids. Dia and I acting silly with Richie and Steve giving us a hard time, as brothers do lol. I always thought so much of Richie, not only was he very handsome he had a great heart. Hard to say goodbye to someone so young. You all are in my heart and prayers. Much love!

Condolence: I shared more laughs with Rich than just about anybody else. He was a good friend to me and an inspiration to many students he taught and worked with at WKU and in surrounding areas. I take comfort in the fact that he has found peace, and I have a lifetime of hilarious memories from our adventures together which will keep me smiling.

Condolence: I had the honor of working with Rich at Lindsey Wilson College. We both enjoyed fly fishing and had many adventures in the Cumberland River; including one day joining arm-in-arm to escape rising waters! We also share WKU as our alma mater. We had instant connection at LWC and I will miss my friend. Love and prayers to all.
