Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Roy Hendricks can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Obituary for Roy Donald Hendricks

Roy Donald  Hendricks
Roy Donald Hendricks, 87, passed away on December 17, 2018 at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, MS. He was a retired meat market manager with Kroger. He was a Navy veteran, member of Adaton Baptist Church and active member of the VFW. He loved to fish, work in his yard and spend time with his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Horace Hendricks and Hildred White Hendricks.

He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Betty Gainey Hendricks of Starkville, MS; daughters, Beth Cline (Kenneth) of Grenada, MS and Mary Travis of Purvis, MS; grandchildren, Joshua Cline, Christopher Cline, Jessica Travis and Kristin Travis; and sister, Nelda Bryant of Starkville, MS.

Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, December 20, 2018 from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at Welch Funeral Home, with the funeral service immediately following in the funeral home chapel. Rev. Dickey Bryan will conduct the service. Burial will be in Self Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
