Condolence From: Pamela Harris (Waldrop)
Condolence: I was away over Christmas and just learned of Shirley’s passing. What a great soul she had. She was so energetic and friendly, with a automatic smile. Even the last time I saw her around Thanksgiving 2019, she was in high spirits at Trinity. I recall her amazing and tireless writing for the paper decades ago. That jobs is harder than it looks! Condolences to all the family.

Condolence From: Al and Lauri Holland
Condolence: Karen, Mari, Chip, Holland, CT and families,

We were so sorry to hear of Shirley’s passing. She was such a dear and sweet person. I remember my father and mother talking about how, as a young child, she always danced, wherever she was. I think that was her spirit, which continues on in you. Please know that we are thinking of all of you today.

We are out of town this weekend so will miss the funeral and visitation, but I will keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers. I would love to see you sometime when you are back in Starkville. Let's visit soon.

Condolence: Shirley IS and will always be my beloved first cousin (or "cuz" as we called ourselves). They moved to Starkville, where I lived, when I was very young and I truly don't remember life without her loving presence in my life. There are no words for how much I will miss her.
