Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Stephen York Edwards can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Obituary for Stephen York Edwards

Stephen York Edwards
Stephen York Edwards, 45, passed away on March 3, 2021 in Kosciusko, MS. He was a self employed carpenter, member of Victory Baptist Church in Mathiston, MS and an avid outdoorsman, with a great love for horses. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Patsy Edwards; and his grandparents, Jake and Joyce Edwards and Odessa York Odom.

He is survived by his wife, Joni Edwards; daughter, Cassidy Edwards; sons,, Jacob Layne Edwards and Peyton Edwards; father, Steve Edwards, all of Sturgis, MS; sister, Angel Coggins of Starkville, MS; and brother, Shannon Edwards of Mathiston, MS.

Visitation is scheduled for Friday, March 5, 2021 from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at Victory Baptist Church in Mathiston, with the funeral service immediately following. Rev. Phillip Edwards will conduct the service. There will be a private graveside service in Craig Springs Cemetery in Sturgis.
