Obituary for Thelma Elliott Gentry

Thelma Elliott Gentry passed away January 15, 2019 in Eupora, MS. She was born August 3, 1929 to Mollie Berry Elliott and Robert Harrison Elliott. She later moved along with her brother Donald to Columbus, MS where she met and later married Mike Gentry (Malcolm Ellis Gentry, Sr). She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, EPC. Her life has been a glory to the Lord in faith and works by her living example of standing firm in his guidance for her life.

She is survived by her children: Malcolm Ellis Gentry, Jr. (Gloria), Barbara Gail Gentry, Mark C. Gentry, and Janice Gentry Kinard (Elvis “Pee Wee”); her
grandsons, Kenneth Wynn Gentry (Shelby), Clay Forrester Gentry (Crystal), Malcolm Seth Gentry (Cassidy), Aaron Thomas Gentry (Patricia), Elliott McClure Kinard and Kirk Randall Kinard; her great grandsons, Tyler Seth Gentry, Asher Ellis Gentry,and Ezra Sands Gentry
She is also survived by her sister-in-law: Junko Elliott (widow of her brother King Elliott), nieces: Linda Elliott and Mimi Elliott of Columbus, Georgia.

There will be a memorial service on Sunday, January 20th at 4:00 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church, 307 University Dr., Starkville, MS. Rev. Dr. Martin Lifer, III will lead her memorial service. Visitation will follow after the service in the church fellowship hall. Mrs. Gentry was laid to rest Wednesday, January 16th. Rev. Dr. Martin Lifer, III led the service.
