Margaret Jacqueline “Jacque” James, 77, of Starkville, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 3rd at her home in Starkville.

Jacque was a loving mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend. Jacque had a heart for the Lord Jesus Christ, and that was evident in the way she lived her life. She enjoyed reading, good southern cooking, going to the movies, and most of all, spending time with her friends and family.

Jacque was a beloved member of the Starkville community where she owned and operated “The Doll House” beauty salon for over 25 years. She had a love and concern for all people, and her clients were much more than mere customers to her, but more like friends and even family.

Jacque is preceded in death by her husband, Gerald M. James; parents, Rube and Stella Mae Bright; and sisters, Gailya Howard and Molly Jeffries Ray.

Jacque is survived by her children, Jan (Jeff) Terrill, Dayle (Angela) Reed, Suzi (Mike) Blissard, Frog (Arie) James, Tina (Travis) Caston, and Judy Clardy; grandchildren, Jay (Elizabeth) Terrill, Jennifer (Jesse) Carver, Heather (Will) Vail, Jessica Terrill, and Ezra Blissard; and great-grandchildren Mollie, Jayce, and Jackson Terrill.

Visitation will be held at Welch Funeral Home in Starkville on Saturday, April 5, 2013, from 5:00-7:00 p.m, and funeral services will be held at Welch Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday, April 6, 2013, at 2:30 p.m. Graveside services will follow immediately after at Oddfellows Cemetery in Starkville.
